The request-processing fee is $75. This includes writing the request letter,
submitting it to the agency, and tracking the request (following up with government
personnel) until we receive the information, or an official response from the FOIA
Office. Additional charges include: FOIA fees billed by the agency, reproduction,
and shipping. Each request letter includes an agreement to pay
FOIA fees up to $150 per
request. The FOIA Officer must contact us for approval before processing if the
charges exceed this amount. If this is the case, we will request a detailed
estimate, contact you, and assist you in deciding how to proceed (amending the
request, or agreeing to pay the increased fee amount). If the contract or documents
you request are part of our in-house library, which includes over 1,300 contracts
and related documents, the processing charges consist of the following: $75 request
processing fee, 30 cents / page, and shipping. These documents can be copied and
shipped to you in a matter of days (no waiting for the government).
